Snow Day 2009 Photos!

Finally... SNOW DAY 2009!!!

Amazingly - no man-made snow machine involved!!! (Mark and the boys built a snow machine this week out of the pressure washer and the air compressor but it never got cold enough.) You've got to love snow days in the south when the kids are out of school for 2" of snow!!! All of you that live in snow country must be laughing pretty good right now! You can still see the grass! However I will admit that they really have no real means of dealing with the snow and very few plows. No one knows the slightest about how to drive in the white stuff and people end up in the ditches left and right. It's really best to just stay in on days like today - not because of the snow, but because of all the crazies who don't know how to drive in it!!! The kids had a great time sledding - even if it was on a hill of mud after the first few runs. Reese was soooo excited to see the snow when she looked out the window this morning! She was not as excited when she ventured out into the real stuff, but she didn't cry! She was a little scared to sled down the hill but enjoyed watching her brothers try it. Maybe next year - that is if we get snow next year!

She WAS born in the SOUTH!!!

What do you say to a sweet 19 month old who says HONEY in every sentence???

"Want candy honey!"

"Go bye - byes honey?" She always wants to leave and go somewhere - anywhere!

"See ya Honey!" - to Daddy leaving

"NO honey NO!" - being put to bed at night

"Where'd Tanner go honey?"

Man are we in trouble!!! She's smooth! And the funny thing is Mark and I don't call each other honey - where's she getting this? Just wait until she starts saying ya'll!!!

Tom Boy or Princess - You Decide!

O.K. So I had to snap a shot of Reese playing with the boys old garage and cars the other night. I laughed so hard when I saw that she had her VERY frilly feather purse over her shoulder while she played with the cars in the garage. Just don't mind the pizza all over her little face! It was pizza night and football games - way more fun watching her play than it was watching the Panthers! But hey... now we can cheer on our real football team - Go STEELERS!

Hippie Day at School...

Tate, Brock and Brennan played the part quite well for their Hippie Day at school. Brock especially looked authentic with his "I don't care" look in the picture. Tate had the best hair and Brennan had the the hand signs down pretty well!

Brock's First Lost Tooth!!!

The last moments of his wiggly tooth...
Working on getting it out...
Hey... watch the Sugar Bowl football game on t.v. it falls out on the pillow! Yeah... another reason to cheer for the Utes! We thought it was only appropriate that he would loose his first tooth during the "Sugar" Bowl!!!
Yeah!!! Now it's time to see what the tooth fairy will bring!!!

Go UTAH!!!

Though we may always be Utah State Aggies at heart... Mark graduated from the U. of U. and we had to cheer on the team last night! WoW!!! What a game! Way to go UTES!!!

This is GOOD!

What is this??? Two 5th graders... BOYS none the less, playing with Reese's kitchen?!?!
Hey Brennan (grey shirt) and Bailey (white shirt) are you having fun?
You have never seen two boys dive for the floor faster than these two when they realized that I caught them and had photo proof too! Some day this will make for some great discussion with Brennan's wife!

WE'RE GOING TO NAUVOO AGAIN!!!

Yep... we'll be trekking back to Nauvoo this summer to be in the Nauvoo Pageant again! This time we will be in the red cast - the first cast of the summer, from June 28th - July 11th!!! Hooray.. we feel so blessed to have been asked to participate again this year. We really were not sure if we would make it into the pageant again. This was such an amazing experience for our family and we are looking so forward to being able to go again. WATCH OUT though... this means long hair AGAIN for all the boys and Mark. Oh know!!!

Fiive...Four...Three...Two...One...Blast OFF!

These are pictures of the 8th Annual Kenison Family Christmas Rocket Launch.... every year Santa brings a rocket for all the kids. Despite my best efforts... all I got in the picture was the smoke!!!
Success!!! We finally got more than one launch out of the rocket. Our usually history is that the rocket goes so high that we loose sight of it and never find it again.. or the wind blows it into the highest tree possible and it's gone for good.

We actually got about 4 launches before the police showed up and told us we were on city property... hmmm... citizens can't use open fields in the city because it's against the law. With laws like that, it's no wonder they don't have any city parks here. They don't think people would use them. Crazy!

Watching from a distance... ever since we went to the air show in November, Reese has been terrified of the slightest sound that resembles a jet engine. Even little rocket engines freak her out. Poor kid!

A little Dirtbiking for the New Year!

Tanner hitting the jump in 38 degree temps - man was he COLD!!!
Mark just could not resist taking a little ride after he got Tanner's bike started up. When it's that cold, the bikes don't seem to want to run.

Brennan bundled up and ready to go!

Tanner asking for one more lap... nothing, nothing will stop this kid from riding his dirtbike any chance he can get.
