It's hard to believe that the summer is almost done and the kids will be back in school in less than two weeks. I guess I have mixed emotions... the thought of going back to having my life run by the schedule of the school makes me cringe, but having only Reese at home during the day sounds like a good deal too. The poor boys are so bored and ready to be back in class. At least they enjoy school and look forward to going back! We are trying to cram the summer into these last two weeks since Nauvoo took a huge chunk of the summer, both in preparing and then in the actual time away. We thought the paddle boats were so much fun that we decided to take the kids for Family Home Evening. Much fun was had by all even though we had to share a boat because they would not let Reese ride with us. Boo hoo! It all worked fine and Reese enjoyed watching from the shore while we all took turns. Still on the list to do is a day at Carowinds ( a local amusement park), the Back to School Monster Truck show, and as much time at the pool as they can get. Add that to the list of shoe/ clothes / backpacks / etc. shopping, dental appointments, school open houses and stake conference weekend.. it should be a busy two weeks.
